What we're all about...
Wildwood: A Mass Audubon Camp for Outdoor Exploration is a multidimensional summer camp for young people ages 9 to 17 that encourages exploration of the natural world in an atmosphere emphasizing fun, learning, and growth. Owned and operated by the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Wildwood features 1 and 2-week residential and expedition programs where campers are encouraged to make suggestions and decisions about the activities in which they and their cabin groups participate. Some activities are Forest & Wetland Ecology, High Ropes Course, Swimming, Hiking and Backpacking, Wildlife Investigations, Kayaking, Geology, Nature Art, and Organic Gardening. Wildwood offers for teens (ages 15 -18) a 3 week Leaders-in-Training Program focusing on developing the leadership skills within an environmental context. Wildwood offers a series of Adventure Trips for teens including trips to the Maine Coast, Green Mountains, White Mountains and Cape Cod. Wildwood is located at the Monadnock Conservation Center, near the town of Rindge, NH (approximately 90 minutes from Boston). Campers reside in cabins and large platform tents divided by gender and age. Wildwood is fully accredited by the American Camping Association.
